Mr. Kim – Contemporary Korean
Mr. Kim’s is tucked away on the 3rd floor of Kyoto Plaza. It’s a gem for two big reasons (i) most of Hong Kong doesn’t seem to know about it, so you can almost always get a seat, even a booth next to a giant window so you can lay down your shopping spoils and watch the madness of the Causeway Bay streets below as you stuff your face full of kimchi; (ii) aforesaid kimchi is excellent. Not just pickled cabbage! We had tiny anchovies… and other unidentifiable stuff. Ok, so maybe not everything on the menu made our tastebuds sing, but we were pretty happy.
Wide selection, English menu, and won’t burn a hole in your pocket. Call ahead for reservations if it’s Friday/Saturday night.
